Class Evaluation
1. Why did you take this class?
I love anime and cartoons which both heavily influenced my creativity since I was little. But also I've wanted to go to NCTEC since I was in the third grade beck when I think it was called Digital Media? Or graphic design? I can't remember.
2. In general, what do you like most about this class?
Other the people, probably the fact that the class allows me to go to school for something that I actually like, care about, and has something to do with what I want to do in adulthood.
3. In general, what did you like least about this class?
3D animation and everything involved with it, not my cup of tea at all.
4. What was your favorite project and why?
I actually have two. Number one is the diving board project because it was the first project that everyone actually genuinely liked it and wasn't silent after watching it because of how bad my animations were. Number two would have to be my independent study, because I expanded on more things like background and I was really proud of my movement and I saw how much I improved.
5. What was your least favorite project and why?
3D Competition project. The project was very stressful and I am not good at 3D at all, plus I never wanted to do 3D animation in the first place.
6. Discuss the overall effectiveness of the instructor.
I thought our instructor was very informative and taught me a lot of important lessons/tips/tricks on animation were very necessary if I wanted to be a great animator.
7. What are the most valuable things you learned in the class? Work on your time management skills. If you don't have the time management skills to get things done on time, you're gonna be very stressed and won't make deadlines, which will cut you off.
8. Do you feel that this class will help you achieve your future academic or career goals? How or why (or why not)?
Yes I feel this class will help me achieve my future academic or career goals. This taught all the necessary skills to become a great animator and how to deal and manage with the challenges that come with it
9. How could this class be improved?
To not have as many blogs, or stretch the time we have between each blog to do them.
10. What would you tell incoming students to help them be more prepared for the class?
If you don't have the work ethic to work hard or have poor time management skills, you will not make it in this class, it is a hard class, but worth it and is very rewarding. Be prepared for sleepless nights or very little sleep to make deadlines. Be ambitious but too ambitious, don't bite off more than you can chew. If you can't take constructive criticism, you won't survive in class. Make sure it is something you really want to do, don't start second guessing if you made the right choice of joining the class in the middle of the year. Try to become good friends with most of the class if not all of them, you're gonna be with them for 2 and a half hours a day, 5 days a week. See you friends as rivals to strive to be better or on par with them to improve.
11. Additional Comments: Thanks for sticking with me throughout the year, y'all were my main people, the Cave. I hope we keep in touch over discord and don't drift apart, I'll miss you all gamers!-Dwonivan/Young Killmonger/Miles Morales/ The Class's Younger Brother

It was really cool to have you as a classmate this year, Dwon. I do hope you change your mind and come back next year.
