Practice

So this weeks blog is on all about something I need to do more with drawing...... PRACTICE!!! Practice is the process of doing a skill over and over again until you get better as we all know. Being an artist, animator, or illustrator or just any field of work requires a lot of practice and there isn't a way around all that practice either, if there was, we'd all be masters at the field we are in.    There are different ways of practicing. Always learn things in small chunks, if you try to learn too much at once, it'll be crammed in your head and harder to remember or do. Also practice through repetition, it's how your mind picks up on things and remembers how to do them. As artists, we usually have our own little projects that we do, regardless if it is for school, commissions, or just something we are working on for ourselves, this is not practice. Doing projects is usually doing something you are already good at, so you're not practicing on something you are lack...

Weekly Stuff lets go y'all!

Whats up y'all its dwonivan/ dwonathan/dwonfin and lets not forget everyone's number one short boy! So this week went by pretty fast, but for me it was basically a week of catching up on work from school, which was followed by falling asleep while trying to finish my independent study which sucked but i wasn't worried about. When I revise it, I'm gonna make it how I originally wanted it to be, with a real fight scene and al that good stuff. Luckily I turned the rest of my work so I'm caught up, yay! I was doing fanart for Phil from The Promised Neverland which I'll finish this weekend, I love Phil he's such the sweetest little boy in the anime, but also really intelligent for his age (which is four). I didn't really work on my final project at all this week since I need to record the rest of Savannah and Ari's audio since they are my main characters (thanks again love y'all!) but I've been practicing my poses a lot in class and at first I fou...

TED Talk Blog

So this weeks blog was about Danielle Feinberg, Pixar's director of Photography, explained how the art and lighting of the movies they have made go hand and hand with math, science, and code to create worlds, making fantasy into reality.           The TED Talk starts off with Ms. Feinberg recalling a memory of her childhood, when she was asked the very question that every child is asked when they are young, "what do you want be when you group?". She happily replied that she wanted to be an artist, to which she received an answer of "you can't be an artist, you'll never make money and live as an artist". Ms. Feinberg was crushed hearing that as a child, however she loved science and math and went to college for computer programming ultimately landing a job at Pixar studios in lighting. Lighting and practice is placing lights inside a three dimensional world. Lighting can set the mood, guide the viewers attention to a specific object, and set...

Weekly Comments!

Whats up y'all its dwonivan/ dwonathan/dwonfin and lets not forget everyone's number one short boy! This was pretty uneventful, I'm looking more into college since I realized we only have 10 weeks left of school but I have my basic grasp of where I wanna go to. We didn't learn anything this week since we just worked this week. I'm happy that it's almost spring break! I'm do be semi lazy and animate and draw all break, as well as play some video games. I'm also really happy that I went into our art section on discord, I scrolled to the beginning of it and saw how much we have all improve of the course of the year, damn I was terrible, I've definitely improved a lot since then. I finished the anime, The Promised Neverland, I'd check it out if you're into sci-fi, thriller, and psychological stuff, it's basically about three kids who live in an "orphanage" who find out that they just food for demons being grown and harvested in the ...
