Rule of Thirds

The Rule of Thirds is used to show dominance on screen for films. The tool trisects a frame vertically and horizontally into smaller parts, creating equal intersections that help balance the frames. Using the foreground and the intersections, you can see the importance of each bit of the scene, implying more power.
Bringing a character into the foreground establishes the importance of of said character. While everything is focused, we usually look at the foreground first then the middle and background which gives the foreground more power. For example having two bottom intersections and two top intersections, the top will have the most attention and power.
Center framing makes our eyes go to towards it instantly giving it more power than the rest of the screen.  Other factors involve the size between characters for example in the article in zootopia the scene with the rabbit and the ox, your eyes immediately turn to the ox since the size difference is big compared to the rabbit.
The article was interesting yet confusing for me, since their is a lot of different things that go into making a scene, but I learned a lot of different things and different tactics filmmakers use to grab attention to specific places
I think anyone who is interested in film and the different way of film should look into this article, the tactics and processes I believe are essential fo filmmaking.
