First blog back from break

Hey y'all its Dwon/Dwonathan/Dwonivan/Dwonfin(only Ari can call me that) back at it with a new blog to start off a new year *clap *clap *dab, lets get it, yah! so how was everyone's break? Mine was pretty good for the most part but a couple days before Christmas an argument went on involving me, it wasn't a bad one and there was no fighting or anything but I kinda broke down to my mom about how I was feeling, my mental health, and basically my innermost and darkest thoughts. She listened and understood and all is pretty good and I need to open up more to her and stuff. Okay enough of my sad and depressing stuff, sooooooo Christmas time was here! And it was pretty amazing, hands down the best Christmas yet. I got some anime stuff, clothes, candy, Clip Studio Paint Ex, and a blue yeti microphone, so now ya boy can start doing storytime animations on youtube or just talk about stuff, so yeee I'm excited, yah! Also next week, Wednesday will be my last day because I'm getting my tonsils taken out so I'll be out for 2-3 weeks so yeah I'm gonna miss a lot sadly but all is well. So what did I learn this week in class? Nothing. I kinda just tried to do my tutorials this week which i still have yet to finish so yeah time to stay up late. There's not really anything that i want to learn because we are doing 3D and I have a strong dislike for it, not movies because thats like almost cartoon movies and I love them, but I mean i don't like doing 3D at all, like it looks cool but its just not my cup of tea at all. Something that i dislike this week?  The tedious and difficult that is, you guessed it, 3D! Something that made me happy? Everyone's face when i brought in my tablet, and they were not happy faces, they were more like "what the fuzznugget is that?' "Dwon, that is a thick boy tablet, my dude" and also Ari was basically judging me the entire time, their face was more like "Dwon, I though you were better than this" XD. So yeah that was my week, I also finally beat Spiderman which I am regretting because of how late is now, so yeah procrastination at its finest. So yeah if you made it this far and read all of this, I congratulate you, you've won....... Absolutely nothing but the knowledge of what my weeks have been like. Weekly stuff yahoooo

Hey y'all its Dwon/Dwonivan and I'm back from the dominican republic, it was a good time but also not great. Because of the trip, I've fallen super behind on the project like I'm still animating it sadly, which also means I'm definitely gonna have to pull an all nighter or two to finish it but it'll be worth it in the end.  I'm still kinda "scared" I guess about t doing the final project blog because with this project I barely used any references, well maybe enough? We shall see, but yeah don't be surprised if on Monday I'm still not done with the rough animation because it'll be a lot to do but I got this *dabs. I don't really have a choice anyway lol, it's either hand it in incomplete and get a failing grade or pull like two all nighters (not back to back ofc) and be able to finish it. I'd definitely choose the latter. The coloring shouldn't be too bad because my colors are probably gonna be mainly flat colors and stuf...

Timing

 Timing is essential when it comes to animation but also it helps you improve as an artist/animator as well. Animation veteran has sat down and taught us why timing is important and how it can also be fun to do also.     Timing involves how fast something moves and how long it stays still. Slowing an object represents weight, gravity, mass and speeding up an object adds speed, energy, and lightness. When working on timing, it is a good idea to work on the poses that you want in an animation, and number the poses as to where it breaks down, this allows you to know ahead of time if the rhythm is right and if the poses work out together or not.          Your key poses help set up how the rest of the poses will turn out, they aren't shown for that long, only for a quarter to half of a second but you can stretch out the time a little bit so your audience is able to see them.
